Thank you FIAT! I love this car. It was perfect for my first solo mountain driving, from Rome to Gagliano Aterno, IN THE DARK! Hens the tired eyes! Now I just await the month of May, and cant wait to welcome all my students, to join me for a weeks painting and relaxing, in the sun! Ciao!

Time to move!

Its been a long time coming! Yes, I am moving my container and all of my belongings into his little gem of a traditional Danish thatched house.
I want to take this opportunity, to thank all my family, friends and their friends....for letting me live out my dream for the last 2 and a bit years!
Thank you for letting me into your homes, getting to be a part of so many amazing families, all over the world.
It has been an amazing journey. So many memories of laughter, good food, art and nature.
Thank you to all my old and new friends, who made it possible for me to come and teach art. I would love to come back, as I met so many wonderful woman, learning and teaching, exchanging cultures.
Its time for me to get my suitcase unpacked, set up my workspace and sleep in my own bed!!
My door will always be open, I owe you all BIG TIME!

Galleri Smag & Kunst. My joint exhibition - Denmark March 2014

All the paintings are now up, and looking good in this beautiful Art Gallery in the town of Ebeltoft, Denmark. Waiting for the guests to arrive......

New additions to my exhibition in March

 

For my joint exhibition in March, with Lis Juul, I decided to paint 4 new paintings.

I also decided to try and do it "simple". Trying to do a more "clean" image, without all my usual inks and template work.

And why cows? I do not know!

 

 

 

 

This baby calf, was my first attempt. I do like him, but my fingers are itching....to get to those inks!!!! Will he remain clean?

 

And here is his mother! I am pleased with her. But again....finding that very fine line between a life study and keeping it loose, very hard!

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then we have Rudolph! This cow became a reindeer! AND a few circles.....He is not done yet, but I am beginning to like him. Even without the red nose...!

The chimes of cow and church bells, are the most prominent of sounds you will hear, when walking around the town.

New inspiration

 

Often, painting with a fellow artist, brings new inspiration.

I needed a fresh approach, and had some ideas for a new series of paintings, that will go into my exhibition in March.

Spending time with my artist friend, gave me some new inputs, and this is what came to live. A series of 4 new paintings, which I am getting more and more fond of, as time passes.
